First Nations Storytellers – Echoes of the Tides
Presentation
Step away from the choruses of the sea shanty festival for a moment and gather by the Bay of Fundy, where another kind of voice calls out—one rooted in land, stillness, and memory. Join Dave Smith of First Nations Storytellers near the water’s edge in St. Martins for a powerful sharing of culture, connection, and ancestral wisdom.
While songs rise from the harbor, this voice speaks in older rhythms—carried on wind, tide, and story. Guided by the spirit of his ancestors, Dave’s path to reclaiming lost culture and sharing these stories is part of what you’ll witness. These echoes invite you to listen deeply to a different kind of song—one shaped by the land and the stories it still carries.
