Fundy Sea Shanty Night is a free monthly gathering where everyone is welcome—whether you're a lifelong sea shanty enthusiast or simply curious to experience this rich maritime tradition. Hosted by Saint John's own Before the Mast, each evening features traditional sea shanties, stories from our nautical past, and plenty of opportunities to sing along.
No experience is necessary. We provide digital songbooks to help you join in on the choruses, and before long you'll be singing alongside the rest of the crew.
Fundy Sea Shanty Night takes place monthly at O'Leary's Irish Pub in Saint John, with occasional guest performers joining the evening. Whether you're looking for a fun night out, hoping to learn more about maritime history, or simply enjoy live music in a welcoming atmosphere, we'd love to have you aboard!
